Who We Are

Diamond Gleam Bath Re-Enamelling and Repairs is a family run business and was started in 1985 by myself – Ian Milton. We are a hard working, trustworthy company who are determined to do the best job possible for you that we can. 

I started the business and am still running it today with a few of my sons as well as other staff. I still go out and do some jobs and am always working to push the boundaries of what we can achieve by developing new procedures and tweaking established ones. I have trained many other bath resurfacers in bath re-enamelling and chip repairs in different parts of the UK.

We then further expanded the company from Scotland to London and the South East where our activities are now centred. We go right down to the coast of Kent. East Sussex, West Sussex and Hampshire.

We are a professional company and have done bath re-enamelling for The Crown, local authorities, The National Trust, many many construction companies and lots of hotels:

We perfected the technology of bath resurfacing and chip Repairs over the last four decades using meticulous research and development and extensive testing and we have a long and successful background of thousands of jobs through which we can track the factors that affect the performance and longevity of our services.

We tried and tested all types of procedures and materials including those that other businesses use in order to narrow down the best materials and procedures for our jobs – and this is ongoing really as different construction materials get developed for the manufacturing of bathroom fixtures.

Also, the chemical industry keeps moving forward developing cleaner and better materials so we keep abreast of this.

The preparation of any job to a large degree determines the quality of the finish and this consists basically of a lot of hard graft in the filling and fairing of the old surface to get it smooth then patient detailed masking of the surroundings.

We have tested and tested and trailed the best bonding materials over the years until we eventually created our own adhesion system which comprises a wipe on bonding agent followed by a sprayed on adhesion promoter – creating a double bonded underlayer unlike other systems that use only one or non at all in the name of quickness and economy. This means that our enamel surface won’t come off, crack or peel. It is firmly stuck to the bath. To get it off you would have to splinter the original surface below!
